The Harmonica

Most beginners will learn the harmonica with a standard "blues harp" harmonica (or Diatonic Harmonica)  in the key of C Major which is often heard in Rock, Blues, Jazz, Folk and Country music. C major is the easiest key to learn to play as there are no sharps or flats.

The word "Diatonic" means that the harmonica plays in a standard major (or minor) scale. So a diatonic harmonica in the key of C plays only the notes of the C major scale - C, D, E, F, G, A, and B.  An A harmonica plays only the notes of the A scale, and so on. In addition, a C harmonica can also be used for playing blues in the key of G, one of the most popular keys for blues music.

We offer 2 sizes of harmonica with 16 and 24 holes; the latter providing an additional octave.
